Dmytro ZELENYI

Dmytro worked as a commercial agent at the Obariv station in the Rivne Railway Transport Directorate.

He was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2022. Initially, he served as a cook, but soon became a soldier-shooter. In August 2023, as part of the 115th Brigade, Dmytro was already carrying out missions in the Kharkiv region, where he sustained a shrapnel wound to the neck. However, after treatment, he returned to duty and went back into battle.

37-year-old soldier-shooter Dmytro Zelenyi was killed on December 13, 2023, while performing another combat mission near the village of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region due to the explosion of an enemy shell. The hero was buried in his native village of Zorya in the Rivne district.

For his bravery, the railway warrior was posthumously awarded the honorary badge "Combatant's Cross" and the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.

The fallen defender is survived by his wife and daughter.
