Halyna Batiyevska

57-year-old Halyna Batiyevska loved to grow flowers and had a beautiful garden. But the war abruptly ended her life. Halyna was killed on March 7, 2022, in her own home.

Halyna was born in the town of Polohy in the Zaporizhzhia region. She studied at the local vocational school No. 13. She dedicated almost 40 years of her life to the railway. She worked at the Zaporizhzhia railway transportation directorate as the station master of Chelyuskin. She began her career back in 1983 as a dispatcher at that station.

According to her daughter Viktoriya, her mother was very kind and raised her children by example. She was highly respected at work.

Halyna is survived by two daughters.

The team at the Zaporizhzhia railway transportation directorate of the regional branch "Dniprovskyi Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" received the news of Halyna Batiyevska's tragic death with deep sorrow. We have lost a dedicated employee who devoted four decades to the railway. We express our sincerest condolences to her daughters and family.
