Ihor KOMPAN

Ihor was born in the village of Vesnyanka in the Khmelnytskyi region and lived in Starokostiantyniv. He obtained a degree in mechanical engineering. Since 2014, he worked at Ukrzaliznytsia as a rigger of the 4th category at the Starokostiantyniv plant for reinforced concrete sleepers.

Colleagues remember Ihor as a kind, always smiling person who knew how to listen, give sound advice, and never refused to help. Friends and colleagues respected him, and for his sons, he was the best dad in the world.

On January 19, 2023, Ihor was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he became the commander of a mechanized platoon.

37-year-old junior lieutenant Ihor Kompan, commander of a mechanized platoon of the separate presidential brigade, died on October 12, 2023, in a hospital in Vinnytsia. His death was the result of a severe head injury sustained on September 28 during an enemy mortar shelling in the village of Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.

Ihor is survived by his wife and two sons.
