Ihor Tereshchenko

Igor Pavlovych Tereshchenko died on September 25, 2022, in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region as a result of shelling of an evacuation convoy of civilian vehicles. He died along with his son Matviy, born in 2017. His wife Olha miraculously managed to survive.

Igor was born in the village of Kivsharivka in the Kupiansk district. In 2002, he graduated from the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport with a degree in "Finance."

He joined the railway in 2004 and worked there for 18 years. His last position was as a guard at the material warehouse in Kupiansk of the "Kupiansk Department of Material and Technical Supply" of the regional branch "Southern Railway."

The team of the Kupiansk Department of Material and Technical Supply of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" is inexpressibly mournful over the loss of a colleague. A guard with a full higher education in economics who worked on the railway for 18 years tragically lost his life along with his young son during the evacuation. This innocent and brutal event is our shared pain and an unhealable wound. Eternal memory to Igor and his son Matviy.
