Ivan Bludov

Ivan was born in Kharkiv and lived in the village of Berestoventsi in the Kharkiv region. He joined the railway in 2005, working as a fireman at the Krasnohrad boiler station for the Southern Railway, as well as a platform controller and station worker. Colleagues remembered him as a diligent, friendly, and communicative employee. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.

In March 2022, Ivan Bludov joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Despite health issues, he did not disclose to the military enlistment office that he was unfit for service. He served as a platoon commander, overseeing about 30 personnel.

56-year-old senior lieutenant Ivan Bludov was killed on August 28, 2022, near the village of Ruska Lozova in the Kharkiv region.

His daughter Oksana recalled that Ivan could not stay at home while witnessing the suffering of people and children due to the war and occupation. He always felt sorry for the children who experienced the war.

Posthumously, Ivan was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the III degree.

Ivan is survived by his wife and two daughters.
