Ivan DOVHINKA

Ivan was originally from the village of Zavadka in the Mukachevo district of the Zakarpattia region. He began his railway career in July 2011 as a trackman. From November 2011 until his mobilization, he worked as a shooter in the guard team for particularly important facilities No. 85 in the "Mukachevo Detachment of the Militarized Guard," dedicating 11 years of his life to the railway.

On March 1, 2022, Ivan signed a contract to serve in the military reserve of the Territorial Defense Forces "North."

Ivan Dovhinka was killed on August 22, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission to defend the state in the Kherson region.

Colleagues remember him as a reliable friend and a true professional, the soul of the team, always ready to lend a helping hand. Outside of work, Ivan was passionate about sports and participated in railway competitions, building plans for the future.

We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. He is survived by a wife and two children. His parents are left without their loving son.

The team of the Mukachevo Detachment of the Militarized Guard of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" has lost its Hero. A shooter who was the heart of the team and a sports enthusiast consciously joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense. His loyalty to the oath, reliability, and unfulfilled plans for the future represent both the pain and pride of the railway community. Eternal memory and honor.
