Ivan Kolomoets

Ivan was born and lived in the town of Pyatykhatky, Dnipropetrovsk region. He obtained a qualification as a civil engineer from the Dnipropetrovsk University of Railway Transport. He had over 16 years of experience in the railway industry, working as a ballast planner operator SSP-110 SW/4 of the 6th category at the Verkhovtsevo Center for Track Work Mechanization.

Friends and colleagues knew Ivan as an intelligent, sincere, and balanced person with a calm and gentle character, who approached his work responsibly. He loved life, participated in speed motorcycle races, and enjoyed traveling and music.

On March 13, 2022, Ivan was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served at the Main Center for Personnel Training of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

37-year-old soldier Ivan Kolomoets gave his life on January 31, 2023, in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, while carrying out a special mission.

Ivan is survived by his wife and daughter.

The team at the Verkhovtsevo Center for Track Work Mechanization of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns this irreparable loss. His love for life and selflessness will be our eternal sorrow. Glory to the defender!
