Leonid TOVSTONOH

Leonid was born in the village of Pomichna in the Kirovohrad region. In September 2001, he began his career in the railway industry, dedicating 22 years to it. He worked as a mechanic repairing rolling stock at the Pomichna repair depot and was later appointed as a non-commissioned foreman due to his professional training and strong character. Colleagues remember him as an experienced and demanding leader who could make sound decisions in difficult situations. Leonid was passionate about technology and fishing.

As a patriot of his country, Leonid voluntarily approached the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support without waiting for a call and was enlisted in the Marine Corps battalion on April 7, 2022.

41-year-old Leonid Mykolaiovych Tovstonoh heroically died on June 13, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.

Leonid is survived by his wife, son, and brother.
