Maksym SHOLOMEY

Maksym was born in Lviv. He had a higher education and worked as a first-category economist in the "Administrative and Economic Service" of the regional branch "Southern Railway."

Since the beginning of the war, Maksym actively engaged in volunteering: he helped accommodate displaced persons and provided them with humanitarian aid. He was mobilized for military service on August 31, 2022.

Maksym Mykhailovych Sholomey tragically lost his life on October 19, 2022. He was found shot on the territory of a military unit in Uzhhorod, where he was serving. An investigation is ongoing.

Colleagues knew him as a compassionate, kind, and highly qualified worker. In his free time, Maksym loved fishing and playing computer games. He dreamed of having another child and a house at the cottage.

Maksym is survived by his wife and two children.

The team of the Administrative and Economic Service of the regional branch "Southern Railway" is in deep mourning over the tragic and unclear loss of their colleague. Our economist, who was a good volunteer, went to defend the country. We remember his humanity, compassion, and bright spirit. We hope for justice regarding the circumstances of his death. Eternal memory!
