Mykyta KAMENEV

Mykyta was born on June 4, 1996, in the city of Znamianka, Kirovohrad region, where he lived and worked. Since December 2021, he had been employed as a fourth-grade electric gas welder in the auxiliary mechanical section of the Znamianka Repair Depot.

Colleagues knew him as a responsible and sincere person who, due to his strong and decisive character, always commanded authority and respect within the team.

In August 2023, Mykyta was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served with the rank of senior sailor as a senior operator in the radio-electronic reconnaissance division of the reconnaissance company.

27-year-old senior sailor Mykyta Olegovych Kamenev, electric gas welder, died on February 19, 2024, in the city of Beryslav, Kherson region, from mine-explosive injuries due to enemy shelling (likely from munitions dropped by a UAV) while performing military service.

Mykyta is survived by his mother, Svitlana Mykhailivna.
