Mykola Samoylenko
Mykola was born in the village of Lisny Horodok, Chita Oblast, Russia.
He lived in the city of Snovsk in the Chernihiv region. He obtained a vocational education and worked as an electromechanic in the Snovsk power supply district of the Konohtop Electric Supply Division of the Southern Railway regional branch. He dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to working on the railway.
51-year-old Mykola Samoylenko was killed during enemy shelling on March 3, 2022, in the city of Snovsk, Chernihiv Oblast.
Mykola was known as a kind, decent, and organized person, a responsible and professional worker who loved his job. Wise, honest, diligent, hardworking, energetic, and optimistic—this is how his acquaintances describe him. He always treated others with respect and understanding. One of his hobbies was electronics.
"In our memory, Mykola will forever remain a kind, fair, and cheerful person," say his colleagues.
Mykola is survived by his wife and son.
The team at the Konohtop Electric Supply Division of the Southern Railway regional branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the irreparable loss of their colleague. Mykola Samoylenko became an innocent victim of Russian aggression, but the memory of him as a responsible worker and a bright person will be eternal.
