Professionalism and Character
Although Mykola worked in the railway industry for a relatively short time, he quickly earned the sincere affection and respect of his colleagues.

He is remembered as an exceptionally enthusiastic, disciplined, and dedicated worker. Always cheerful, with a great sense of humor, Mykola had the ability to defuse any tense situation and uplift those around him.

He was an open and sincere person, easily finding common ground with people of all ages and always the first to lend a helping hand.

On October 1, 2024, Mykola Andriyovych was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a senior gunner in a mortar crew.

Mykola Andriyovych Tarasenko, an employee of the Khrystynivka track distance and a brave artillery warrior, was killed on November 19, 2024, defending the freedom and independence of Ukraine. The life of the Hero was cut short while performing a combat mission in one of the hottest areas of the front—Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region. He was 45 years old.

During his service, he proved to be a resilient, courageous, and valiant warrior. On the front lines, he remained true to his military oath and the Ukrainian people until his last breath.

Mykola had a strong and very close-knit family, which was his greatest treasure. Together with his wife, they raised two sons. For his family, he was the ideal husband and father—a loving, caring, supportive, and reliable friend, whose warmth will forever remain in the memory of his loved ones.

Mykola is survived by his wife and two sons.

The team of the Khrystynivka track distance of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its heads with deep sorrow and boundless gratitude before the heroism of their colleague.
