Oleg DENYUSHIN
Oleg was originally from the resort town of Truskavets in Lviv region, but for a long time, until 2014, he lived and worked in Crimea. Immediately after the Russian occupation of the Ukrainian peninsula, Oleg returned home and volunteered for military service. Standing up to defend Ukraine, he went through the Debaltseve encirclement and later served in Popasna.
In 2016, he returned home and got a job as a repairman for rolling stock at the Drohobych railway repair depot.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Oleg immediately decided to return to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a gunner in the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel, he was not a novice, so he willingly shared his experience with new recruits and repeatedly took the initiative in difficult combat situations. On March 30, 2022, always ready to help and shield his comrade from deadly danger, the railway worker did not know he was in the sights of a sniper. Unfortunately, this time the enemy did not miss.
42-year-old Junior Sergeant Oleg Denyushin was killed on March 30, 2022, in the city of Popasna, Luhansk region, by a sniper's bullet.
By the decree of the President of Ukraine, for his personal courage and selfless actions displayed in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath, Oleg Denyushin was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
Oleg is survived by his wife.
The team at the Drohobych Railway Repair Depot of the regional branch "Lviv Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the loss of their colleague, Junior Sergeant Oleg Denyushin. His bravery, willingness to shield his comrade, and the experience he shared in Luhansk will forever be etched in the history of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Glory to the Hero, posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage"!
