Oleg Hrytsenko
Oleg was born in the city of Bakhmach, Chernihiv region, but spent his entire life in Konotop, Sumy region. He graduated from the Konotop vocational school, where he trained as an assistant locomotive driver for diesel and electric locomotives. Since 2006, he worked as an assistant driver of an electric locomotive at the Konotop locomotive depot.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, in March 2022, Oleg joined the Konotop territorial defense battalion, serving as a shooter. His family remembers him as kind, compassionate, selfless, always ready to help, a reliable friend, and a loving father and husband. His comrades will remember him as an honest, brave warrior with a good heart and a thirst for justice.
45-year-old soldier Oleg Hrytsenko was killed on April 11, 2023, in the vicinity of the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region.
Oleg is survived by his wife and two sons.
