Oleksandr AMAZONOV

Криворізький загін воєнізованої охорони
18.03.1981 – 01.11.2024

Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Amazonov was born on March 19, 1981, in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. He began his career in railway transport in September 2016 as a shooter in the shooting team of the Kryvyi Rih-Glavny station, part of the "Kryvyi Rih Detachment of Militarized Guard" of the regional branch "Dniprovskaya Railway." Since July 2022, he served as a 4th class shooter in the militarized guard team of Kryvyi Rih within the "Departmental Militarized Guard" branch. He dedicated 8 years of his life to working on the railway.

On June 9, 2023, he was conscripted during the general mobilization to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a commander of a rifle squad in a mechanized battalion. He participated in combat operations aimed at defending the sovereignty of the state, providing a worthy resistance to the occupiers in the Donetsk and Pokrovsk directions.

43-year-old Oleksandr Amazonov sustained a serious head injury due to enemy artillery shelling near the settlement of Plekhovo in the Sudzha district of Kursk Oblast (RF) on October 25, 2024. He died on November 1, 2024, at the Main Military Clinical Hospital in Kyiv.

From an early age, he was passionate about aviation and space exploration and practiced hand-to-hand combat. His wife Anna remembers him as a faithful and loving husband, a caring father. Colleagues recall him as a qualified and disciplined worker, a loyal friend. Comrades remember him as a devoted companion and a patriot of his country.

For his personal courage displayed during combat operations, he was awarded the badge "For Merits to the City" of the III degree.

Oleksandr Oleksandrovych is survived by his mother, an older brother (who also serves in the military), his wife Anna, and two underage sons. We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.

The team of the "Kryvyi Rih Detachment of Militarized Guard" deeply mourns the irreparable loss of a colleague and hero. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and Hero!
