Oleksandr CHERNYSHOV

Структурний підрозділ «Дніпровський мостобудівельний поїзд»
03.10.1977 – 05.04.2026

Oleksandr was born in the city of Grozny, but he dedicated almost his entire life to Ukraine, which he considered his true home. For many years, he lived and worked in Popasna in the Luhansk region, and after the enemy occupation of his hometown, he and his family found refuge in Dnipro. Despite all the trials, fate led him to the ranks of the "iron family," where he found his calling and became a reliable specialist.

Oleksandr worked on the railway for over 26 years. In 2020, he began his journey as a carpenter of the 5th category, and in 2024, he joined the team of the structural unit "Dnipro Bridge Construction Train" of the "Center for the Construction and Repair of Engineering Structures" as an installer of steel and reinforced concrete structures. Colleagues remember him as a true professional, a person with a sincere heart and an open soul. He was the reliable friend one could count on in the most challenging work situations.

On January 17, 2026, Oleksandr took up arms to defend Ukraine by joining the Armed Forces. Service in the engineering troops required not only courage but also high professional skill, which he demonstrated daily at the front. For his comrades, he was an example of bravery, dedication, and unwavering faith in victory.

The life of the Hero was cut short on April 5, 2026, while performing a combat mission in the vicinity of the settlement of Sloviansk in the Dnipro direction. Oleksandr defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state until his last breath, remaining a faithful son of his country.

Oleksandr is survived by his wife and daughter. The family lost a loving husband and father, while the railway lost an experienced master and a great patriot.

The team of the "Dnipro Bridge Construction Train" of the "Center for the Construction and Repair of Engineering Structures" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest condolences to the family of the fallen defender. We bow our heads in honor of the courage and self-sacrifice of our colleague. The bright memory of Oleksandr will forever live in our hearts.

Eternal memory and honor to our Hero!
