Oleksandr KATSER
Oleksandr was born in the village of Ilarionove in the Dnipropetrovsk region. From 2014 until his mobilization, he worked as a track layer in the Lower Dnipro Railway Division, dedicating 10 years of his life to the railway. He shared his professional journey with his father, Volodymyr Anatoliyovych, who worked in the same division.
Oleksandr fell on July 25, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the Volnovakha direction in Donetsk region. He was mobilized that same day and was considered missing for a long time.
Colleagues remember Oleksandr as a clever, technically skilled worker who was always ready to help (even with computers). His friend, Oleksandr Kachurovskyi, noted his calmness and inner peace. His father recalls how they built a house together for the family. Oleksandr's greatest dream was to wait for the birth of his daughter.
Oleksandr is survived by his parents, wife, and son Dmytro.
The team of the Lower Dnipro Railway Division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" pays tribute to their colleague. The track layer, who served for only one day, following in his father's footsteps in the railway profession, has fallen. His self-sacrifice, which cut short a father's dream of a daughter, is a tragic testament to the price of our freedom. May the memory of Oleksandr be a light in the hearts of all who knew him.
