Oleksandr LYAKHOVYCH

Oleksandr was born in the village of Luhove in the Rivne region. In April 2007, he joined the large family of railway workers, becoming a trackman at Track Machine Station No. 123 (now a structural unit of the Rivne Track Machine Station, part of the "Center for Construction and Repair of Tracks" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia").

For 15 years, he tirelessly worked on the railway, establishing himself as a responsible, dedicated, and exceptionally disciplined specialist. Colleagues remember Oleksandr as a person with a keen sense of humor and a sincere soul. He was friendly in communication, always respected within the team, and a reliable companion whom one could count on in any situation.

Oleksandr was the heart of his large family. He dreamed of a flourishing homestead, bought a house next to his mother, and genuinely wished to unite their households. His greatest joy was gathering his mother, two sisters, three brothers, and twelve nieces and nephews around one big table. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who valued family warmth above all.

On July 5, 2022, Oleksandr was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He bravely stood up to defend national security and sovereignty, resisting the aggressor in the hottest spots on the front line. On December 15, 2022, near the settlement of Klishchiivka in Donetsk region, Oleksandr went missing during a fierce battle. The long period of uncertainty ended in pain—his death was officially recognized on December 15, 2022. The war destroyed his plans for a happy future, but it could not erase the memory of his heroism.

The team at the Rivne Track Machine Station deeply mourns this irreparable loss and extends heartfelt condolences to Oleksandr Hryhorovych's family and loved ones.
