Oleksandr PETROV
Oleksandr was born on September 10, 1981, in Kherson. He graduated in 2006 from the Dnipropetrovsk State Technical University of Railway Transport, earning a master's degree. As a young specialist, he began working at the Kherson locomotive depot, where he spent over 18 years. He held positions as a foreman, deputy chief of the depot for repairs, head of the technical department, and leading engineer-technologist. In 2021, the employees of the Kherson locomotive depot entrusted Oleksandr to represent their interests by electing him as the head of the shop union organization.
Oleksandr was killed at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor into Ukraine as a result of fatal injuries sustained during a missile strike in the Kherson region. On March 13, 2022, a dirty enemy hand took Oleksandr from us, even though he could have done so much good for his family and people.
Colleagues remembered Oleksandr as a true professional in his field, a person of wonderful spirit, open and kind-hearted.
Oleksandr is survived by his wife and two minor daughters.
