Oleksandr STALYNSKYI
Oleksandr Stalynskyi was born and lived in the city of Okhtyrka, Sumy region. He received a secondary education. In 2003, he joined the railway. He worked as a switchman at the Okhtyrka station in the Sumy region of the Southern Railway regional branch.
On October 17, 2021, Oleksandr enlisted in the military under a contract. He served in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region, in the 1st tank company of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporizhians, holding the rank of sergeant in logistics. He was awarded the "For the Defense of Ukraine" honor and the "Combatant" medal.
49-year-old Sergeant Oleksandr Stalinsky was killed on September 27, 2024, as a result of an enemy drone strike on his unit's position near the city of Vuhledar, Donetsk region.
Cheerful, brave, and inspired, Oleksandr dreamed of living and raising children—this is how he is remembered by his acquaintances. Colleagues describe him as a qualified, disciplined worker and a reliable friend. In addition to his direct duties, he took on extra assignments and was always ready to help his colleagues.
Oleksandr is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
The staff of the Okhtyrka station deeply mourns the irreparable loss of a colleague who bravely defended our country. May the bright memory of Oleksandr forever remain in our hearts and minds. Eternal glory and honor to the Hero!
