Oleksandr ZVIRYANSKYI
Oleksandr was born in the village of Nova Borova in the Zhytomyr region and lived in the town of Paniutine in the Kharkiv region. Since 2004, he worked as a master at the "Paniutynskyi Wagon Repair Plant." Colleagues knew Oleksandr as a responsible leader with a strong and decisive character who commanded respect.
In 2017, Oleksandr enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under contract, and in 2018, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). With the onset of the full-scale war in 2022, he served in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions in the 25th Separate Airborne Assault Sicheslav Brigade.
42-year-old Senior Sergeant Oleksandr Zviryanskyi died in the hospital on September 25, 2022, from injuries sustained.
Posthumously, Oleksandr was awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine" (Presidential Decree of Ukraine). He also received honors for "Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation" and "ATO Participant."
The fallen soldier is survived by his wife and underage daughter.
The team at the Paniutynskyi Wagon Repair Plant of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply honors their colleague. The factory master, who was a decisive and respected leader, was an experienced ATO warrior and fell as a paratrooper. His bravery, recognized with a state award, and dedication to defending the country serve as an unbreakable example for the entire railway family. Eternal Glory!
