Oleksiy Blyzniuk
Oleksiy was born in the village of Hvozdynivka, Chernihiv region, and lived in the city of Snovsk. He worked as a trackman of the 3rd category in the Kyiv railway division.
On April 28, 2022, Oleksiy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a shooter in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky.
43-year-old Oleksiy Blyzniuk was killed on August 4, 2022, in a battle against Russian occupiers for the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
Colleagues remember Oleksiy as a kind and good person who always stood for justice and shared his experience with young specialists. His wife, Natalia, emphasizes that he was a true warrior, fighter, and patriot—brave, courageous, and principled.
Oleksiy is survived by his wife Natalia and daughter Anastasia.
