Oleksiy VASYLENKO
Oleksiy was born in the city of Shchors (Snovsk) in the Chernihiv region. In 2021, he joined the railway family, working as a repairman for rolling stock at the Snovsk locomotive depot.
Colleagues remember him as a friendly, conscientious, and non-conflict worker with a light-hearted nature, always ready to lend a helping hand.
On August 9, 2023, Oleksiy enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the mechanized troops, where he was an example of courage and dedication for his comrades.
Soldier Oleksiy, a repairman for rolling stock, was killed on December 4, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the Kupiansk direction, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Oleksiy is survived by his mother and son.
The team at the Snovsk locomotive depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows their heads in deep sorrow and pride for Oleksiy. His bravery, dedication to the Oath, and ultimate sacrifice will forever be our symbol of resilience. Eternal memory to the heroes of Ukraine!
