Olena DYACHENKO

Olena was born in Donetsk and lived in the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. She worked as a 4th category signalman at the Kupiansk-Sorting station (now part of the "Station Operations Service").

On that day, Olena's family was trying to evacuate to a safer area, but during the movement of the evacuation convoy, the enemy deliberately opened fire. Olena and her husband were killed on the spot. Their daughter Polina managed to survive.

Olena Dyachenko died on September 25, 2022, near the village of Kurylivka in the Kharkiv region, just a few days before her 37th birthday.

Colleagues remember her as a tolerant, kind, and communicative employee who was respected and actively participated in the life of the team.

Olena is survived by her daughter Polina.

The team of the Station Operations Service of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" is in profound mourning over the tragic loss of their colleague. The signalwoman, who was friendly and respected within the team, has been killed. The cruelty of the enemy that led to the death of innocent people and orphaned a daughter will never be forgiven.
