Pavlo OROPAI
Pavlo was born in the city of Vinnytsia and lived in the town of Derazhnia in the Khmelnytskyi region. In 2012, he graduated from the Academy of Railway Transport with a degree in "Railway Structures and Track Management." He worked as a track foreman in the Khmelnytskyi railway division, in the first group.
Colleagues knew Pavlo as a qualified, determined, and wise leader. He was a reliable friend, a caring family man, a loving father, and a husband. He had numerous hobbies, was interested in football and technology, enjoyed crafting, and dreamed of traveling and raising his children well.
On March 4, 2022, Pavlo joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a shooter-paramedic. For his comrades, he was an example of unyielding spirit and resilience. His wife, Viktoriia, noted that he "gave his life for us, for a free Ukraine and peace, having so many plans and unfulfilled dreams!"
33-year-old Senior Soldier Pavlo Oropai died on October 8, 2022, from injuries sustained while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Stepova Dolyna in the Mykolaiv region.
Pavlo is survived by his wife and two children.
The team at the Khmelnytskyi railway division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague with deep respect and sorrow. His indomitable spirit, love for family, and highest sacrifice are our moral compass in the struggle for a free Ukraine. Eternal memory to the Hero!
