Pavlo SEMENOV

Pavlo Ivanovych was born on October 24, 1967, in the village of Znamianka, Kirovohrad region. He graduated from Znamianka Secondary School No. 6 and then from Vocational Technical School No. 39, specializing as a "driver." He lived in the village of Znamianka Druha.

He worked as a driver of motor vehicles (cargo truck) at the repair and transport section of the production unit "Repair Wagon Depot Znamianka." He had 2 years of experience working on the railway. Colleagues knew him as a responsible and sincere person. He had a strong and decisive character, which earned him authority and respect among his peers.

From February 2015 to April 2016, he served under contract.

On September 18, 2020, Pavlo was called up for military service under contract and served as a soldier, driver of a mortar crew in the mortar platoon of the mortar battery.

Soldier Pavlo Ivanovych Semenov was killed on April 4, 2022, in the village of Voronove, Sievierodonetsk district, Luhansk region, from a mine-explosive injury and gunshot shrapnel wound as a result of artillery shelling while performing his military duties.

He was awarded the Presidential Honor of Ukraine "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation" (2016), as well as the medal "For the Defense of the Native State" and the Order "For Courage" of the III degree (posthumously) in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine.

We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Pavlo is survived by his wife, daughter, and son.

The team of the Repair Wagon Depot Znamianka of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the irreparable loss of their colleague, soldier Pavlo Semenov.
