Petro DARCHYK

Petro Darchyk was born in the town of Lukiv, Volyn region. He lived in the village of Paryduby in Volyn. He worked as a loader at the Passenger Car Depot in Kovel, a branch of the "Passenger Company" of Ukrzaliznytsia. He had an active civic position, served as a deputy of the Smidyn Village Council, and wrote poetry.

Petro joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 20, 2024.

The 55-year-old soldier Petro Darchyk was killed on September 1, 2024. He fell under enemy artillery fire near the village of Makiivka in the Luhansk region.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.
