Petro SHKOLA
Petro was born in the village of Pryhirya in the Kherson region. After obtaining a qualification as a manual welding technician, he began working at the railway in 2007 at the Baturyn wagon depot (at the Ingulec wagon servicing point), where he worked for 16 years.
His wife, Marina, shares that Petro was hardworking, passionate about technology and cars, and loved to create things with his hands. Before his mobilization, he even built a real house with a porch for their 5-year-old son, Vladislav.
On August 29, 2023, Petro was mobilized. Despite having no combat experience prior, he went to defend his homeland, serving in the 5th Airborne Company of the 2nd Airborne Battalion.
37-year-old soldier Petro Shkola, a gunner in the airborne unit, was killed on November 25, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
For his services to the community, he was awarded the badge "For Merits to the City" of the III degree and the Order of "For Courage" III degree (posthumously).
Petro is survived by his wife Marina and son Vladislav.
