Ruslan BRUEV
Ruslan Anatoliyovych Bruyev began his career at the Southern Railway in 2019 as an assistant locomotive driver at the "Smorodine Locomotive Depot."
In 2016, he participated in the ATO in the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
After the invasion of the Russian Federation's occupying forces into Ukraine and the capture of Trostyanets in February 2022, the occupiers searched homes, asked for food, and engaged in looting.
Circumstances of his death: Upon seeing military uniform in Ruslan's house, the occupiers, without any explanation, put a bag over his head and took him away in an unknown direction. Communication with him was lost in the 20s of March.
Ruslan was tortured. His body was discovered on April 8, 2022, at one of the warehouses in the village of Boromlya, Sumy region, after the occupying forces withdrew from Trostyanets.
The team at the Smorodine Locomotive Depot of the Southern Railway regional branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns this unspeakable tragedy. Ruslan Bruyev, who had combat experience in the ATO, was treacherously captured and tortured by the occupiers in his native Sumy region. His heroism, dedication, and brutal death at the hands of the invaders will never be forgotten. We honor the memory of our colleague who became a victim of terror. Eternal memory to the innocent victim!
