Ruslan KHALMURADOV
On February 24, 2022, when the enemy launched a full-scale invasion, the plasterer of the railway division, Ruslan Orazovych Khalmuratov, did not wait for a summons. That same day, he voluntarily went to the territorial recruitment center to defend the land that had become his home, armed and ready.
Ruslan was born on September 19, 1976, in Turkmenistan. Later, his family moved to Zhmerinka in the Vinnytsia region, where he spent his childhood and school years at school No. 5. He dedicated his entire adult life to construction and the railway: for over 24 years, he worked as a 5th-grade plasterer in the production structural unit "Kyiv Division" of the branch "Center for Construction and Installation Works and Operation of Buildings and Structures" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." At the enterprise, he was known as a highly skilled master with "golden hands" and a responsible worker.
At the front, Ruslan served in the 21st Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade. Due to his fiery yet just character and Turkmen origin, his comrades gave him the call sign "Mahmud." He faced the toughest trials of war, was wounded multiple times, but returned to the front lines each time after treatment to be with his fellow soldiers. For his courage and bravery, he was awarded combat honors.
Despite the distance and the hell of battle, he always kept his thoughts with his family, caring for his loved ones.
On November 27, 2023, during a fierce battle in the village of Bohdanivka in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, Ruslan Khalmuratov fought his last fight. For over two years, the warrior was considered missing in action, leaving his family with only a faint hope that ultimately faded after official identification.
The fallen hero is survived by his mother Lyubov Oleksandrivna, daughters Alina and Iryna, and son Volodymyr, whom Ruslan raised since birth.
The team at JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" shares this unspeakable grief and expresses sincere condolences to Ruslan's mother, children, and comrades.
Eternal and bright memory to the Hero!
