Ruslan MUZYKA
Ruslan was born in the city of Magdeburg (Germany). Later, his home became Ukraine — the village of Talalaivka in the Nizhyn district, where he built his life and family.
Ruslan Mykolaiovych dedicated nearly 10 years of his life to the railway. Since December 2015, he worked at the branch of the "Scientific Research and Design Technology Institute of Railway Transport" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." Colleagues remembered him as an extraordinarily responsible, wise, and composed person. He possessed the rare gift of maintaining calm and optimism even in the most challenging situations, always acting with integrity, being honest, open, and empathetic to others' pain.
When the enemy invaded Ukrainian territory, Ruslan Mykolaiovych could not remain indifferent. On April 16, 2022, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his homeland, its future, and his family.
On February 6, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in the vicinity of the settlement of Klishchiivka in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, Ruslan was killed, remaining true to his military oath and Ukraine until his last breath. For over two years, his family and colleagues lived in hope, as the warrior was considered missing in action, until the bitter truth was finally confirmed in July 2026.
The greatest value in Ruslan's life was always his family. He was a loving husband to his wife, Angelina, and a caring father to four children — three daughters and a son.
We express our deepest condolences to the wife, children, relatives, and friends of the Hero. The team of the "NDCTI" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its heads in deep sorrow.
The wisdom, honesty, and warmth of Ruslan Muzyka will forever remain an example for each of us.
Eternal memory and glory to the Hero!
