Andriy was born in the city of Fastiv in the Kyiv region. His journey into the profession began at the Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport, after which he immediately joined the large railway family. Andrii started his career as a 3rd category locksmith repairing rolling stock.

For 13 years, he dedicated himself to railway transport, eventually becoming a train driver at the production structural unit of the Fastiv-1 motor car depot, part of the "Suburban Passenger Company." Colleagues remember Andrii as the soul of the team—friendly, enthusiastic, and exceptionally disciplined. His wonderful sense of humor often provided support to his friends in difficult times, and his willingness to help was unwavering.

On October 9, 2024, Andriy Vasylovych was called up for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He chose the path of a warrior in the Air Assault Forces, becoming an example of courage and dedication for his comrades. Courageously defending his homeland, he gave a worthy resistance to the occupiers, believing that it is every citizen's duty to make Ukraine strong and free.

Outside of service and work, Andriy passionately loved football and dreamed of a peaceful future. However, fate had other plans. On January 6, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in the vicinity of the settlement of Berdyn in the Kursk region, the life of our colleague and defender was cut short. Until his last breath, he fought for Ukraine's freedom against the oppressive occupation.

His mother, Natalia, and grandmother, Nadiya, are left in deep sorrow. The home is empty without a loving son and grandson, and the railway has lost a true professional.

The team at the Fastiv-1 motor car depot of the "Suburban Passenger Company" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the irreparable loss and expresses its deepest condolences to Andrii's family and loved ones. The bright image of our colleague, his courage, and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
