Serhiy KOMISAROV

Serhiy was born in the village of Novoselivka in the Donetsk region and lived in the city of Lyman. He graduated from the Bakhmut College of Transport Infrastructure. He worked as a section master of the 1st group at the Lyman Rail Welding Train of the branch "Center for Track Construction and Repair."

On July 12, 2022, Serhiy took up arms to defend his homeland. He served in the 518th Separate Special Purpose Battalion "Dike Pole" of the 1st Separate Special Purpose Brigade named after Ivan Bohun. He was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.

40-year-old Serhiy Komisarov was killed on August 9, 2022, while performing a combat mission during the assault on the occupied village of Bayrak in the Kharkiv region.

Colleagues remember Serhiy as a respected leader whose opinions were valued. His wife describes him as her closest, best, and loyal friend, a positive person, and a brave, strong, devoted warrior. In his free time, Serhiy enjoyed fishing.

Serhiy is survived by his parents, wife, sister, son, and daughter from his first marriage.

The team of the Lyman Rail Welding Train of the branch "Center for Track Construction and Repair" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors their colleague. His courage, dedication to his homeland, and the posthumous Order of "For Courage" serve as an unbreakable symbol of his sacrifice. Glory to the Hero!
