Sergiy LEONENKO

Serhiy was very young, yet he had already made a mark in the hearts of those who knew him. He was born in the village of Novoyehorivka in the Bashtanka district of Mykolaiv region, where he lived with his parents.

In 2020, Serhiy started working as a signalman at the Mykolaiv station of the "Odesa Combined Directorate of Railway Transportation" of the regional branch of "Odesa Railway." In this short time, he established himself as a responsible, hardworking, and disciplined employee, despite his youth.

Serhiy's life was cut short just a few days before his 22nd birthday. On August 21, 2024, he heroically lost his life near the settlement of Mala Loknya in the Kursk region while defending Ukraine.

Serhiy gave the most valuable thing he had—his life—for our freedom and future. His parents lost a son, and Ukraine lost a young, brave defender. We will always remember Serhiy. His courage and sacrifice will forever remain in our hearts.
