Serhiy Marushchak
Serhiy was born in the village of Soloviivka in the Zhytomyr region. In 2018, he joined the railway family as an assistant locomotive driver. He dedicated 4 years of his life to the railway. Colleagues remember him as an enthusiastic, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor.
In May 2022, Serhiy was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Serhiy tragically lost his life on June 2, 2022, due to the detonation of an explosive device while carrying out a combat mission.
He is survived by his parents, wife, and son.
The team at the Darnytsia locomotive depot of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns this irreparable loss. This dedicated assistant locomotive driver, who had just been mobilized, tragically died while performing a combat mission. His responsibility and short yet heroic path on the front will forever remain in the memory of the railway family. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero!
