Sergiy NOVAKIVSKYI

Sergiy Novakivskyi was born in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region. In 2001, he joined the railway family as a trackman for the Kyiv track division of the South-Western Railway. Starting in 2011, Sergiy linked his professional activities with the departmental militarized security service. Since 2021, he has led the rapid response shooting team and operational-preventive work of the militarized security service of the regional branch "South-Western Railway," later the branch "Departmental Militarized Security" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He served as the head of the rapid response shooting team and operational-preventive work of the production staff of the "Departmental Militarized Security" branch. His railway service lasted 13 years.

On June 13, 2022, he was called up for military service.

Sergiy Novakivskyi was killed on October 16, 2024, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine while carrying out a combat mission during hostilities in the area of the village of Petropavlivka, Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region. He sustained injuries from an explosion that were incompatible with life due to the detonation of a Russian drone.

Colleagues remember him as a responsible, disciplined worker, a calm and balanced person with a sense of responsibility and dignity, always ready to help.

Sergiy is survived by his parents and daughter Karina. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
