Sergiy RIABUKHA
Serhiy Hryhorovych Riabukha was born on July 27, 1969, in the village of Moshoryne, Znamyanka District, Kirovohrad Region. He lived in the Cherkasy Region, Cherkasy District, in the village of Kostiantynivka, and had a vocational education, graduating in 1987 from the "Secondary Vocational Technical School No. 3 in Znamyanka" with a specialty in "turner, milling machine operator."
In 2005, he joined the railway family, becoming a blacksmith of manual forging of the 5th category in the auxiliary mechanical section of the rolling stock repair service "T. Shevchenko Repair Depot" of the regional branch "Odesa Railway." He dedicated 17 years to the railway. Colleagues knew him as a wonderful person, respected and valued in the team. He was a true patriot of his homeland and did not hesitate to defend it.
On the second day of the full-scale invasion, February 25, 2022, Serhiy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the Separate Mechanized Steppe Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the rank of sergeant and served as a rifleman-assistant grenade launcher in a mechanized platoon of a mechanized company of a mechanized battalion.
Serhiy was killed on January 4, 2025, in battles near the city of Soledar, Donetsk Region, sustaining a gunshot wound to the head as a result of military actions.
We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Serhiy is survived by his wife.
