Sergiy SEMENIUK
Serhiy Semeniuk was born in the village of Protyahailivka, Moldavian SSR, and lived in the village of Pavlivka in the Odesa region. He graduated from the Odesa Railway Transport Technical School.
In peacetime, he worked on the railway as a 5th category wagon inspector-repairman at the technical maintenance point of the Rozdilna-Sorting station, part of the inter-state wagon transfer point at the Kuchurhan station.
After the onset of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Serhiy, despite having a deferment, voluntarily went to defend his homeland in July 2022. He served in the military as a master of the second section of technical maintenance for armored vehicles in the repair platoon of the repair company of the armored weapons and equipment repair and restoration battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in battles defending Ukraine in the Donetsk direction.
44-year-old Serhiy Semeniuk was killed on November 8, 2024, in the vicinity of the settlement of Torske in Donetsk Oblast as a result of a missile strike on his unit. Unfortunately, our hero Serhiy Semeniuk will forever remain 44.
Colleagues remember Serhiy not only as an excellent specialist but also as a sincere and reliable friend and a wise mentor, a person with a huge kind heart. He was a strong support for his family. Serhiy's life path became an example of resilience, courage, and love for his native land.
Serhiy is survived by his parents, Stepanyda Kostiantynivna and Oleksandr Viktorovych, his wife Tetiana, son Davyd (who became a father and a comrade), and young daughters Anastasia and Sofia. We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.
The team at the Rozdilna-Sorting station deeply mourns this irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero!
