Serhiy SHEVTSOV

Serhiy Anatoliovych lived in the village of Kivsharivka in the Kupiansk district. He dedicated 30 years of his life to the railway. He began working in July 1989 at the Kupiansk electric supply distance, where he later served as a 5th category electrician for the repair of overhead power lines.

Serhiy was found on November 2, 2022, in the settlement of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi near the Kupiansk electric supply distance, mutilated by shrapnel. He left his home in Kivsharivka on September 20, 2022, and did not return.

Serhiy is survived by his wife and son.

The team at the Kupiansk electric supply distance of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the loss of their colleague with indescribable pain. Our electrician, who ensured the operation of overhead lines for 30 years, tragically lost his life. His body was discovered by his own family near his workplace, mutilated by shrapnel. This horrific death is a painful testament to the terror experienced by railway workers in frontline areas. We will not forget!
