Serhiy Zenich

Serhiy was born in the city of Popasna, Luhansk region. After leaving his hometown due to the fighting, he graduated from a railway technical school and the Ivan Kozhedub National Air Force University of Ukraine in Kharkiv. He then returned to Popasna and worked as an electromechanic at the Popasna Electric Supply Division. Colleagues remember him as a responsible worker and a very good friend who quickly learned new things.

Serhiy was an extremely responsible and hardworking person. From the age of 13, he became passionate about beekeeping and later established his own apiary. He also loved fishing.

On December 1, 2021, he was drafted for compulsory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After completing his service in May 2023, he continued to serve, defending his homeland.

23-year-old soldier Serhiy Zenich tragically lost his life on August 17, 2023, during a rocket attack in the village of Orlivshchyna, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Serhiy had a beloved girlfriend, Liliya, with whom he had been in a relationship for four years. They planned to get married in September 2023, but Serhiy did not live to see the wedding by just one month.

Serhiy is survived by his mother, brother, and fiancée.
