Serhiy ZINEVYCH

Serhiy was born in Kyiv. He worked as an inspector in the repair and maintenance department at the "Service Support Center" branch of the railway. His colleagues remembered him as a responsible and honest person who constantly improved his professional qualifications.

On April 11, 2022, Serhiy voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he became an assistant grenade launcher in the 4th Operational Brigade of the National Guard. He participated in combat operations in the Bakhmut direction, near Kurdyumivka and Ozarjanivka.

49-year-old Senior Soldier Serhiy Zinevych, assistant grenade launcher of the National Guard of Ukraine, passed away on October 24, 2023. He fought for his life in the hospital for eight months after sustaining severe injuries near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region on February 21.

As his wife recalls, Serhiy was a positive and sincere person, a bright individual with an incredible sense of humor, who valued family above all and remained so until his last breath. He courageously fulfilled his duty to his homeland.

Serhiy is survived by his wife, Olena Mykhailivna, and two sons.

The team at the Service Support Center of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors Serhiy Zinevych with deep respect and unspeakable sorrow. His boundless courage, bravery, and selflessness will forever be our symbol of resilience. Honor and eternal memory to the Hero!
