Stanislav KOHNO
Stanislav was born in the town of Pomichna in the Kirovohrad region. He graduated from the Znamyanka Vocational Technical School No. 12, obtaining the profession of assistant locomotive driver. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Professional path in the railway industry:
In 2003, he began working on the railway as a trackman in the Pomichna track maintenance unit.
In 2008, he transferred to the Pomichna locomotive depot as an assistant locomotive driver.
Over the years, he established himself as a disciplined, proactive, and highly qualified specialist. He was respected and held in high regard by his colleagues.
Military path:
In 2015, Stanislav enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract. He participated in the anti-terrorist operation.
He served in the 123rd Guards Rocket Brigade, where he was the commander of a section in the 2nd self-propelled artillery battery of the 1st self-propelled artillery division of the brigade artillery group.
38-year-old Junior Sergeant Stanislav Kohno died on March 23, 2022, in the village of Chervone, Mykolaiv region.
Awards (partly posthumously): badges "Participant of ATO" and "Sign of Honor," the Presidential Award of Ukraine "For Participation in ATO," commendations from the military unit command, and the Order of "Courage" III degree (posthumously).
Stanislav is survived by his wife, daughter, and son.
The team at the Pomichna locomotive depot of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the loss of their colleague, ATO veteran Stanislav Kohno. He was an exemplary railway worker and a brave commander who defended his homeland twice. His courage, evidenced by numerous awards, and his sacrifice in Mykolaiv region will serve as an eternal example. We express our condolences to his wife, daughter, and son. Glory to the Hero!
