Stanislav STRELTSOV
Stanislav lived in Chernivtsi. He worked as a locksmith repairing rolling stock at the Klеpariv operational wagon depot of the regional branch "Lviv Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia."
In 2020, the railway worker decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine to serve under contract. With the onset of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, Stanislav, along with his comrades, stopped the enemy at the approaches to the Ukrainian capital. In a fierce battle with the occupiers near the village of Morozivka in the Kyiv region, the soldier sustained fatal injuries.
Senior soldier Stanislav Streltsov died on March 15, 2022. He received his call sign not only due to the similarity with his surname but also because he was remarkably quick in making important decisions, disciplined, and focused on accomplishing tasks both at work and in military service.
Stanislav is survived by his wife and daughter.
The team at the Klеpariv operational wagon depot of the regional branch "Lviv Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the irreparable loss. Stanislav Streltsov, who served under contract, was a model of discipline and quick decision-making both at work and in battle. He heroically died defending the approaches to Kyiv. His determination and courage will forever remain in the memory of the railway family. Eternal glory to the Hero!
