Svitlana ILYASHENKO
Svitlana was born in the village of Chaplyne. Since 1998, she worked at the Chaplyne railway station in the Dnipro Directorate, dedicating almost 24 years to her job. During this time, she held various positions: she was a boiler operator, a stoker, a cleaner, and a station worker.
42-year-old Svitlana Ilyashenko was killed on August 24, 2022, at her home during a missile strike on the village of Chaplyne in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Her home was completely destroyed by an enemy "Iskander." The tragedy occurred in front of her children, who were also injured.
In her team, Svitlana was valued for her kind heart, empathy, responsibility, and willingness to help. Colleagues referred to her as "our sunshine." Together with her husband, she raised three children in harmony and love.
The deceased is survived by her husband Volodymyr and children Dmytro, Oleg, and Bohdana.
The team of the Dnipro Directorate of Railway Transport of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the loss of their colleague. Her kindness, dedication, and the immense loss are an unhealable wound for the entire railway family.
