Taras POLNYI

Taras was born in Ternopil, where he spent his childhood and youth. He graduated from Ternopil National Technical University. Before the full-scale invasion, he worked on the railway in the Ternopil Electric Supply Division as an electromechanical technician in the repair and calibration laboratory.

Colleagues remember him as a qualified, technically proficient, and disciplined specialist who repeatedly carried out important tasks related to restoring electricity supply.

Taras had experience serving in the Presidential Forces (2013-2015). On February 26, 2022, he unhesitatingly took up arms to defend his homeland. He served as a radio operator in the 1st reconnaissance platoon of the 55th battalion of the 54th brigade.

33-year-old soldier Taras Polnyi was killed on June 30, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.

Taras's mother, Inna Mykolaivna, notes that he was a true patriot, loyal to his comrades, uplifting their spirits, selflessly rescuing others from under fire, and never seeking glory for himself.

Taras is survived by his wife, daughter, and mother.
