Tetiana Semenenko

Tetiana was born in the city of Melitopol, Zaporizhia region. She studied at school No. 24. At the railway transport lyceum, she trained as a passenger train conductor. She worked at the Mariupol railway depot. Later, she moved for work to Donetsk region – to the city of Mariupol. She was passionate about sports and weaponry.

Tetiana took up the defense of Ukraine back in 2020. She joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of Mariupol. Together with her comrades, she carried out combat missions in the Joint Forces Operation. From the first days of the full-scale war, Tetiana, as part of her unit, continued to defend her homeland from the occupiers.

Soldier Tetiana Semenenko was killed on April 1, 2022, in battle near the village of Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region. She was 27 years old.

The sister of the fallen, Valeria, said: “Tetiana was a person of great character. She always thought of others first and then of herself. She had immense courage, wisdom, and a zest for life. A person who gave her own life for the sake of others.”

Tetiana is survived by her parents and relatives.

The team at the Mariupol railway depot of the regional branch of "Donetsk Railway" JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the loss of their colleague, soldier Tetiana Semenenko. This young woman conductor voluntarily took up the defense of the country, serving in the Mariupol Brigade, and heroically died on the front lines in Donetsk region. We remember her immense courage and self-sacrifice, as she always thought of others. Glory to the 27-year-old Defender!
