Vadym KOVAL
Vadym Koval was born in the city of Zhmerinka, Vinnytsia region. He lived in the village of Tynitsia in Chernihiv region. He worked as a 5th-grade locksmith for the repair of rolling stock at the passenger car depot of Bakhmach station, part of the "Passenger Company." He dedicated 16 years of his life to working on the railway.
In 2015-2016, Vadym participated in the ATO/JFO. On February 24, 2022, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the 58th Brigade. Vadym became a reliable comrade for everyone whose military fate intertwined with his. In April 2023, he was wounded but returned to duty after treatment.
The 37-year-old soldier Vadym Koval was killed on November 4, 2024. He was caught in an enemy artillery shelling near the settlement of Slatyne in Kharkiv region. He was buried in his native village.
"His tireless energy and desire to help always resonated with those who walked alongside him. Young, brave, and inspired by faith in victory, he was a symbol of the resilience of the Ukrainian nation," noted the Bakhmach City Council.
Vadym is survived by his wife, daughter, and son. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
