Vadym Romenskyi

Vadym lived in Zarichne. He graduated from Bakhmut College of Transport Infrastructure and dedicated 14 years of his life to the railway, working as a 4th category trackman in the track service (PCh-3 Lyman).

33-year-old Vadym Romenskyi was killed on September 24, 2023, as a result of enemy artillery shelling in the town of Zarichne, Lyman district of Donetsk region. He met his tragic fate while saving a neighbor's house from a fire caused by a previous shelling. His mother, Iryna, died from a subsequent explosion, witnessing her son's death.

Colleagues remember Vadym as a responsible, polite, and well-prepared specialist. They noted that working with him was "a pleasure." In his free time, Vadym enjoyed football and fishing.

His family emphasizes his kindness, hard work, generosity, and that he devoted all his free time to helping those in need. His heroic death while saving his neighbors' property confirmed his life principles.

Vadym is survived by his aunt and cousin.
