Vadym VANUK

Vadym began his work at the Southern Railway in November 2015. He worked as a trackman of the 3rd category in the production unit "Kupiansk Track Distance" of the regional branch "Southern Railway."

Colleagues described Vadym as a disciplined, hardworking, and respectful person with a good sense of humor. He earned the respect and authority among both management and staff, actively participating in the social life of the track distance team.

From April 27, 2021, he was released from work for the duration of his military service under contract.

He was killed on December 29, 2022, near the settlement of Spirne in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. The death certificate was issued on March 5, 2024. He was declared deceased by the court. The body could not be identified, as a guided anti-tank missile hit the tank where Vanuk V.M. was located, and as a result of the explosion, the body was completely burned. Due to the high temperatures, the DNA was destroyed.

Vadym is survived by his wife and young son.
