Valentin Yarychevskyi

Valentin was born in the village of Florianivka in the Kozyatyn district and was the youngest of five children. After completing his compulsory military service (1994–1996), he dedicated 26 years to the railway. Since 1997, he worked as a 4th class shooter in the military security team of Kozyatyn (the production unit "Kozyatyn Military Security Detachment").

Colleagues remember him as a hardworking, sociable, and kind man who was always ready to help.

In 2021, Valentin signed a contract to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From the first days of the invasion, he took up the defense of his homeland. At the front, he transported ammunition to the "zero" line, performing what military personnel described as the "profession of a kamikaze."

Sergeant Valentin Mechyslavovych Yarychevskyi died on August 28, 2023, in a field surgical hospital in the city of Dobropillia, Donetsk region, from combat wounds sustained as a result of an enemy rocket strike near the settlement of Dorožne.

Valentin is survived by his wife, daughter, and brothers.

The team of the Kozyatyn Military Security Detachment of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bids farewell to Valentin Yarychevskyi with indescribable sorrow and deep respect. His dedication, hard work, and willingness to sacrifice himself will forever be a model of honor. Glory to the Warrior!
